Who is eligible for this CCS Reimbursement Scheme?

For a vehicle to qualify for the scheme, dealers must meet two requirements:

Purchase and pay for a minimum of 20 vehicles in the preceding calendar quarter.

You must have purchased and paid for the specific CCS vehicle using Motorway Pay, during a quarter in which you’re eligible.

Do I need to do anything else?

We need you to do your part in fighting vehicle crime. This means that where you have self-collected a vehicle, you should have at the very least checked the physical VIN against the V5C and checked the odometer. If you can’t show you’ve done this, you won’t be eligible for coverage. We will ask for a short video, clearly showing the VIN and the VRM.

Are there any key restrictions I need to know about?

Other than the base eligibility criteria, you must not (a) be in bad debt to Motorway on your buying or other fees, nor (b) currently have any suspension, ban, or other enforcement action against your account.

How will you confirm my eligibility for the scheme?

You will become eligible under the scheme at the start of a quarter automatically, if you meet the eligibility criteria. We will confirm this to you over email on or before the start of the relevant quarter.

How is the 20 vehicle requirement tracked?

To qualify for CCS cover, your business needs to have purchased and paid for a minimum of 20 Motorway vehicles in the preceding calendar quarter. If you're a site of a Dealer Group, purchases from all Motorway accounts registered to your group will contribute to your eligibility. This means if two sites buy 10 cars each, the group is eligible for cover. If you think we're missing a Motorway Account from our tracking for your group, please contact Dealer Support or your Account Manager.

What if I meet the eligibility criteria part way through a quarter?

If you don’t meet the eligibility criteria at the start of a quarter, you can become eligible part way through the quarter. If you purchase and pay for 20 vehicles in a quarter, you’ll be eligible under this CCS Reimbursement Scheme from the 21st vehicle purchase onwards. Shortly after your 20th purchase, we will send you an email to confirm your eligibility. You’ll also then qualify for the scheme for the following quarter.

Example: You purchased 7 vehicles in Q4 2025 and so aren’t immediately eligible under the CCS Reimbursement Scheme for Q1 2026. In January 2026, you purchase and pay for 20 vehicles. You will be covered for all vehicles purchased through Motorway Pay for the remainder of Q1 2026 and in Q2 2026.

I don’t want to use Motorway Pay. Could I pay for access to this scheme instead?

The CCS Reimbursement Scheme is a free-of-charge discretionary scheme available to eligible dealers. One of the key eligibility criteria is the use of Motorway Pay for covered vehicles. This is because it allows us to create a timestamp for the 90 day window in which to raise an issue - i.e., the point of payment.
