How do I list and sell a car on Motorway Trade?

To list and sell a car on Motorway Trade, please follow these steps:

1. Open pro.motorway.co.uk in your browser and sign in. You must use this link to create listings. Motorway mobile apps don't currently support Trade vehicles.

2. Select "Your listings" from the dropdown menu in the top-right of the screen.

⚠️ If it's your first time using Motorway Trade and you don't see "Your listings", you'll need to click "Sign out" first then sign in again.

3. To create a new listing, click the "Create new listing" button.

4. Follow the steps and enter your VRM and mileage.

5. Click "Start your profile"

⚠️ The price shown is an estimate and does not include any prep costs.

6. Click 'Start' to begin providing vehicle information and profile your vehicle.

⚠️ Ensure your mobile number is correct and edit it if required. We'll send an SMS to this number for you to take photos of your vehicle.

7. When you reach the "V5C logbook" question, please select "I can provide the V5C logbook once sold".

⚠️ We cannot sell your vehicle without a V5C. You'll be asked to upload it later.

8. When asked for the name of the registered keeper on the V5C, you must select your name (the top option). Do not select "A different name".

⚠️ The name selected will not match the name on the V5C but select this option anyway.

9. Click "Start" to begin taking photos of your vehicle.

10. You'll receive a text message to the mobile number you confirmed earlier. Open the link in the text message on your device.

⚠️ If you haven't received a text message, check if the number displayed is correct and click "Resend link to my phone".

11. Once you've finished taking photos, you can provide any additional information about your vehicle by clicking "Additional info".

⚠️ Please provide the reason why you're selling the vehicle, as well as any additional information that you think is important for potential buyers to know.

12. Select "Yes" when prompted and enter the details in the box below.

13. Click "Start" to provide details of the vehicle's service history.

If you're using a mobile device, you'll also be able to take photos of your service history.

14. After you've completed all the steps above, click on "Confirm your profile".

15. Review and confirm the information provided in each section, clicking the pencil icon to edit anything that isn't correct.

16. Review the details and click "Confirm my price".

⚠️ You will either be shown a final reserve price or estimated sale price depending on the information you provided. If an estimated sale price is shown, our team will be in touch to confirm the final price before the vehicle goes for sale.

17. From the "Your listings" page, click "Upload V5C".
